Our executive producer, Frances Barber, has sent out a letter to the entire production team of ‘Rosenglow’ concerning its cancellation of the project due to a couple of lead actors over stepping their boundaries as professionals/artists and questioning the vision of the writers, producers, actors, designers, casting directors and the director. Because of their action and the months and months of planning the film, the crew immediately went into recasting those actors involved to make the film run smoother and get it made. Production, under a new title, will begin once again in January following an entirely new plot.
We’ll post a link and any new information on the film in the coming weeks.
The names of the actors that caused production to halt have been passed on to numerous casting directors, producers and directors in the Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver regions to assure that such a incident doesn’t occur again on any other filmmakers production and that they get blacklisted. We, as artists, stand together to produce motion pictures for entertaining purposes and the ones questioning the productions values and vision get their name passed around to see that such incidents don’t get repeated.
You shouldn’t consider entering the entertainment business if you’re not willing to respect the overall vision of the film. Set ettiquette training is provided by numerous IATSE and film organizations in almost every city. We kindly suggest that those individuals who cannot keep their mouth shut should take a weekend for these classes to secure their names in good light within the industry. Thank you.
